Section 2: Stillness (continued)

Stillness isn’t silence, although it’s easier to experience stillness in silence than in noisy environments – especially when we are just becoming familiar with this inner state. 

Beneath the noise of heavy traffic, there is stillness. Beneath the irritating sound of a jackhammer, there is stillness. Beneath all the mental noise in our head, there is stillness.

 

Opportunity for Self-inquiry and Sharing:

Can you recall a time when you experienced a great deal of noise, whether mental or external, and you were still able to locate the stillness and enter into it?
